Five Friday Beauty Faves - April 12,2019

Aside from painting and creating art and talking about things that are creative, productive, or aesthetically pleasing, I also love skincare and beauty products.
I thought it would be a good idea to share this week’s favorites.
These are skincare products and makeup products that I use regularly and that really will do what I need them to do.
If I don’t use a beauty product and love it, that product won't make the Friday Faves cut.
So here are five of my favorite skincare and makeup items for this Friday, April 12th.
Enjoy.
La Mer The Moisturizing Cool Gel Cream
The original version of this moisturizer was the first moisturizer that I ever loved. I liked quite a few of them, but not many that I ever loved and even less that I repurchased. This revamped version still gives me all of the moisturizing feels that I got from the first version despite mixed reviews. I feel as if this hydrates and moisturizes. I sometimes use it over my Avene Thermal Spay for more hydration, And If I need a real moisturizing boost, and I don’t have thicker cream on hand, I use this in conjunction with the La Mer Revitalizing Oil. I can’t speak for others, but I like it, I really really like it.
Nars Skin Deep Eyeshadow Palette
I got this for my birthday much to my surprise ( I am rarely surprised). This palette is very pigmented and easy to wear everyday.
I am really drawn to the warm colors in this palette and the shimmers are very wearable without being too glittery.
Shoutout to the fam for getting this one so right. MWAH!
Benefit Bad Gal Bang Mascara
Eversince the big blogger Maldives launch last year, I have been here for the Bad Gal Bang Mascara. It is a good one. Prior to using this one, I was using the Better Than Sex, both are really good.
I lucked out and got the double pack from duty free on my last purchase, but this is like tube number 3 in the large size and I at least 3 tubes of the travel size. I use it every single day and I love it.
Avene Thermal Spring Water
If it’s hot, I spritz. When I wake up in the morning, I spritz. Before oil or moisturizer, I spritz. Is it Sunday? I spritz. LOL. I love love love the Avene Thermal Water for hydrating, cooling, misting, you name it. I always have it on hand and my skin thanks me.
Goop Exfoliating
I don’t really understand all of the Goop hate because the products are good and really work for me and the price is comparable to what I tend to spend on other products. I have been using the Exfoliating Instant Facial, the Replenishing Night Cream and the Enriching Face Oil for about a month now. I really enjoy all of them, but I am especially smitten with the Exfoliating Facial. It is both chemical and manual exfoliation, which I didn’t think that I would like because I stopped manually exfoliating my face over two years ago, but this one really agrees with my skin. When I use this regularly, I get such a lovely glow and my skin feels amazing. I recently purchased the Goop cleanser which I do like as well. I have only used it a couple of times so the jury is still out on whether it will become a fave, but if it is as good as the other products, don’t be surprised if you see it one of these Fridays.
