When you ask me who I am, I could tell you that I am a wife, a mother, an artist, a problem solver, a content creator, a this or that or the other thing. I could tell you all of those things, but would you really know who I am?

So I won’t tell you those things.

Instead, I will tell you that I am a student of life, I have tried and failed and lived to try again. I am curious and idealistic, I love color and luxury, and decadence, and beauty and nice people. I also love simplicity, ease, and sleep.

I am a life long learner who never gets tired of discovering some new idea, technique, or style. And I love to share what I know.

I decided that as I became older, I would also become wiser and more open to the world. I decided that life was more than constantly fighting causes, hustling, grinding, and forcing my existence. To me life is meant to be lived and lived well. I also realized that as a creative person, I would never achieve my work or financial goals by trying to fit into some traditional mold of sleeping when I die and working my fingers to the bone.

And that is how “Will There Be Cake?” was born. I believe that we can create and enjoy life, we can be good business people and still find time to live full delicious lives. I believe we can have our cake and eat it too. No it’s not about having it all, it is about having the best parts more often, and sometimes having them first. So yes, there will be cake here; a way of looking at life that is decadent, sweet, and also productive and informative.

And hopefully, if nothing else, you will leave here a little more inspired.

For me, that is the ultimate cake.
